We are a pretty modest bunch at teapod but once in a while we like to blow our own trumpet! So we thought we should tell you about a recent major survey in the Independent newspaper which names teapod as one of Britain’s top fifty teahouses.

We were in the rather cool sounding “urban decadence” section which seems good to us and they described us as “a modern, bright and cheery tearoom.” Judge Pei Wang highlighted our bagels, cream teas and Oolong tea for particular mention as well as the “teapod timer” – which helps customers get their brew just right. Pei is one the UK’s leading tea experts so we are pretty pleased that he had a good time when we visited and we thank him for his interest and comments.
